04 March, 2026: Google has published an updated overview of its web crawling systems, offering useful clarifications for SEO professionals.
Google also confirmed that crawl frequency is dynamic and demand-driven: pages with fresh, frequently updated, or highly relevant content are crawled more often, sometimes within minutes, while static pages may be revisited far less frequently.
Notably, frequent crawling is explicitly described as a positive signal of content relevance. Google automatically adapts crawl rate based on server performance and site signals, reducing activity when errors occur.
